Three things we love: Tzofim, Israel, and Play-Doh!
Israel Photo of the Day: déjà vu
Here is an amazing photo of this Summer’s Southeast Caravan, Caravan Amos, at a host’s house in Delray Beach, Florida. They are watching a video of the Caravan of Summer 1992, performing in Delray Beach, Florida. This highlights a key element we love about the Tzofim; the deep and rich history we have with Zionism, Israel, and American Jewry. We love being able to say we are connecting young Israelis with older Americans who have been working with the Tzofim for over 20 years. Kol HaKavod, Delray Beach, for keeping the history alive!
A video aired at last night’s Garin Tzabar farewell ceremony in New York. In mid-August, our Garin Tzabar 2012 participants will be making Aliyah to Israel and joining the army. We raise our hats to them, wish them Mazal Tov and b’Hatzlacha. We admire and appreciate you endlessly, Garin Tzabar participants.
The Celebrate Israel Parade on NYC’s 5th Avenue was on Sunday, June 3. We had the fantastic opportunity to march in our khaki and teal uniforms at the front of the parade. What an amazing experience for all of us!
Machane Kaitz Maarav - West Coast Tzabar Summer Camp - was Memorial Day Weekend, with chanichim from shvatim in the Bay Area, San Diego, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Orange County. We were in Camp Ramah in Ojai, California. What a blast!
Here’s a beautiful image from East Coast Tzabar Summer Camp, courtesy of Shevet Tapuach, from New York. The East Coast Summer Camp was the weekend of May 18, where we gathered with 550 chanichim from Washington, D.C. to Toronto. Campwers were at Camp Tel Yehudah enjoying their weekend with fun camp activities such as hiking, swimming, and bonfires!
